Introduction to Event Management is a two-day short course which provides an overview of the role of an event manager. It allows participants to gain enough information to organise a simple event or a sufficient understanding of the role to undertake further study if they choose.

Event managers play a critical role in the planning, coordination and execution of an event, whether it’s a business conference for 1,000 delegates or a 21st birthday party for family and friends. This course will provide participants with an understanding of the practical skills needed to plan and manage special events professionally from beginning to end, so a successful event is created every time.

This short course has been developed from a 12 month course created in 2000 by Kerry Herman as part of a TAFE Events & Entertainment Design diploma.
